Adventist Aviation Indonesia (AAI) is a faith based, volunteer driven organization founded in the early 1970s on the island now known as Papua, Indonesia. We were established to help spread the Gospel to remote and unreached areas using aviation to reach places that are otherwise inaccessible by land. Our work supports the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, delivering hope, education, and healthcare to communities in need.
Our Vision & Mision
- Provide aviation services to inaccessible areas. Flying small aircraft into remote mountains, jungles, and valleys with no road access.
- Support education in isolated communities. Transporting teachers and school supplies to support learning and literacy.
- Deliver essential healthcare and emergency medical evacuation. Providing medical access and emergency evacuations to underserved areas.
A Foundation supporting our Ministry
The Cahaya Harapan Papua Foundation (YCHP)
Was established in 2020 to focus on providing education and health services, particularly in remote areas of Papua. YCHP was founded in response to community requests for services initiated by Adventist Aviation Indonesia (AAl) in areas that lack access to education and healthcare. With AAl’s support, dedicated teachers and nurses are recruited and deployed to remote villages in dire need, where they share the love of Jesus, bring hope to those in need, and prepare them for eternity.
For nearly 5 years, YCHP has dedicated itself to serving remote villages in Papua, establishing 10 formal schools with 7 branch schools across 4 regions, and serving nearly 50 villages with around 700 students. With a team of 70 workers, including teachers, nurses, and professionals, YCHP is expanding its reach through various initiatives, such as building boarding schools and airstrips, launching junior high schools, recruiting and training local workers, and providing sponsorships to faithful local candidates who are willing to serve long-term and share the love of Jesus with more people in remote villages.
